Seasoned Collard or Mustard Greens Recipe Low Carb

1 bunch fresh collard or mustard greens

2 cups boiling water

1/2 tsp salt

1 slice bacon, chopped

Fresh ground pepper to taste

Cooking Methods

  1. Wash the fresh greens thoroughly, cut the stems away from the leaves and chop stems and leaves into bite-size pieces.
  2. Place them into boiling water. Add salt and bacon and simmer, uncovered over low heat for 30 minutes. Drain the greens well and sprinkle with pepper to serve.
