2 cups wholemeal self-raising flour
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
2 tbsp margarine, melted
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup buttermilk

Cooking Methods
- Mix together flour and oats, then
make a well in the centre.
- Combine margarine, egg and
buttermilk then pour into flour well.
- Mix lightly with a knife to form
stiff dough.
- Turn out onto lightly floured board
and knead until smooth.
- Roll out to 2 cm thickness and cut
into rounds using a 7cm scone cutter.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes in a hot
oven 220 degrees Celsius.
