Oven-Fried Sesame-Ginger Chicken Recipe

2 tbsp light soy or teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp water
2 tsp canola oil
1 medium garlic clove, crushed
1 tsp grated peeled gingerroot
1/4 tsp pepper
1/3 cup sesame seeds
Vegetable oil spray
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
halves (about 4 ounces each), all visible fat discarded |

Cooking Methods
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- In a shallow dish or pie pan, whisk
together the egg white, cornstarch, soy sauce, water, oil, garlic,
gingerroot and pepper.
- Pour the sesame seeds into another
shallow dish or pie pan. Place the dishes side by side.
- Lightly spray an 11x7x2-inch baking
pan with vegetable oil spray. Set beside the sesame seeds.
- Dip the chicken into the egg white
mixture, turning to coat. Roll the chicken in the sesame seeds.
Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until
chicken is no longer pink in the center and the outside coating is
crisp.
