Ingredients

2 cups soft wholemeal breadcrumbs
1 packet onion soup mix
1/3 cup water
1 egg, beaten
1 x 1.5kg chicken
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
3/4 cup flour seasoned with salt and
pepper
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup flaked almonds, toasted
1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Cooking Methods

Mix together breadcrumbs, soup, mix, water and egg.

Place mixture inside chicken cavity, then secure legs
together.

Brush chicken with soy sauce, then toss in seasoned
flour and place in a roasting dish.

Bake in a moderate oven 180 degrees Celsius for 1 1/2
- 2 hours.

Pour wine over chicken and bake for a further 10-15
minutes.

Serve hot sprinkled with almonds and parsley
accompanied by baked potatoes and peas.
