Baked Spareribs with Barbecue Sauce Recipe

2 lb lean pork spareribs
Fresh ground pepper to taste
Paprika to taste
Dry mustard to taste
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Tbsp vinegar
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 cup water |

Cooking Methods

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Trim excess fat from
ribs. Rub with a mixture of pepper, paprika, and dry mustard. Cut
into 6 serving portions and place in a baking pan. Bake for 45-60
minutes. Remove pan from oven and pour off fat.

Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the
ribs. Cover and let stand 15 minutes. Return ribs to 350 degree oven
and bake, covered, for 1 1/2 hours.

Remove cover, baste, and bake for an additional 1/2
hour. Spoon off excess fat before serving.
