4 Tbsp butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, separated
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
8 oz lite sour cream
1/4 tsp mace
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup dates, chopped
1/4 cup pecans, chopped

Methods
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
Allow all ingredients to come to room temperature. Cream the butter
and sugar. Add the egg yolks and mix well.
Sift the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder together. Add the
flour mixture and sour cream alternately to the butter mixture. Add
lemon juice, mace, pecans and dates.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and
fold into the mixture. Bake in a nonstick tube pan for 90 minutes or
until a toothpick comes out clean.
