1 lb lean ground turkey breast

1½ tsp dried minced onion

1 egg, slightly beaten

½ tsp garlic salt

¼ tsp ground black pepper

1/3 cup old fashioned rolled oats

 

Sauce

½ cup low-sugar grape jelly

1 (8-oz) can no-salt-added tomato sauce

½ cup chili sauce

2 tsp hot sauce (optional)

Cooking Methods

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F / 190°C.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix meatball ingredients together. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place meatballs on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until brown and done.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add meatballs to sauce and stir to coat. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm.
